There is only one world for us to live on (as far as we know) and as stewards of this earth, it is our job to take care of it. I don’t think anyone can argue with that. But this does pose a predicament when faced with the choice of reducing your ecological footprint or protecting your shelter.
For years the application of paints has emitted harmful volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) into the air during the drying process. You have probably experienced the unpleasant odor you smelled when painting. There were no alternatives. With the introduction of low VOC paints, we did have a choice….a bad one!
Early low VOC paints did not perform nearly as well as their conventional counterparts. There were application issues, so as professionals, we found it difficult to work with these products.
The landscape for low VOC products has changed dramatically to stay compliant with EPA standards governing VOCs. All products had to change. Through pains-taking research our industry has developed some amazing new product lines which actually out perform their predecessors.
Today we have available products which have zero VOCs, even when tinted to a deep tone! So now we can balance environmentally responsibility and giving your home the care it deserves! Check us out on the web at www.villepaintersinc.com.
